PolyPipe: Meeting the Demands of the Municipal Water Market

PolyPipe manufactures exceptional products for these applications: AWWA/NSF Potable Water, Reclaim Water, Intake Water, Raw Water, Waste Water.

PolyPipe meets or exceeds AWWA C901, C906 and NSF standard 61 and 14.

Heat fused, zero leakage joints. Results in fully restrained joints which eliminates the need for thrust blocking.

Fusion joining eliminates root penetration problems.

Maintains optimum flow rates, pipe coefficient C remains constant.

High resistance to scale or biological buildup.

Excellent resistance to water hammer events, significantly lower surge effect than PVC or ductile iron.

Eliminates cold weather failures. Water can freeze solid without any damaging effect to the pipe.

Light weight and flexible reducing construction cost.

Fewer fittings required. Pipe flexibility allows a bending radius of 20-40 times the diameter. Pipe can be coiled up to 6" OD, depending on SDR.

2-1/2% carbon black content protects against ultraviolet degradation and eliminates storage problems.

Excellent impact resistance, even at low temperatures.

Sub-zero temperatures do not cause failure.

Wide variety of joining methods available, including transition to other piping products.

Allowable safety factor of 4:1 on rupture and 2:1 on surge allowance.

Material of choice for trenchless technology.

Available in standard 40' and 50' lengths.
